Pre-lim Questionnaire

I created a questionnaire for our target audience to fill out after they had watched our Pre-lim and the original piece of footage from Eminem's music video to show them the comparison then they filled out the questionnaire which was created. Overall, we had 30 students from our college fill out our questionnaire as this was our target audience.

This is the questionnaire which I created for our Pre-lim music video based on 'My Name Is' by Eminem.

1. What is your gender?

In the pie chart below you can see that more of the male gender filled out this questionnaire with 20 out of the 30 people being male. This shows that more than half of the audience was from the male gender so the basis of these results are from a male point of view.

I asked this question within the Pre-lim questionnaire to find out the gender of our audience which would help us see what genders are liking within our Pre-lim to see how we could improve for our final music video.

2. Do you like the artist which we have playing Eminem?

In the pie chart below you can see that a large majority said that they liked the artist which we had playing the rap star Eminem. When all the results had came in we had 23 out of 30 students say that they liked the artist which we had.

3. Do you think we should have this artist play Eminem in our final music video of Lose Yourself?

In the pie chart below you can see that a large section of the audience want to see this artist in our final music video. With 22 out of 30 people saying yes on this question we have decided that we are going to use Jordan  within our final piece. The audience left comments such as; fits the part well, looks similar to Eminem, has the same body build as Eminem and that  because they are both blonde it fits well. 

I asked these two questions on the questionnaire to see what our target audience was looking for in our music video. By asking these we knew that they wanted to see the artist again in our final music video, this gave us confidence of picking Jordan for our final piece as we followed what our target audience wanted.

Due to these results we have decided to keep Jordan as our artist within our final music video as he fit the profile of Eminem well and the audience agreed with this. So by listening to our audience we are going to have Jordan play Eminem again.
