On this poster you can see the artist Eazy-E's album "Str8 off tha Streetz of Muthaphuckin Compton" this album was released 8 months after the death of the artist in 1995. Eazy-E is the main focus on the poster, this shows that all the attention is drawn to the artist, this is the opposite to my narrative post on Ed Sheeran's music video 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' as there is a small section which shows the artist. Eazy-E is represented as a gangster on this poster due to his baggy grey jumper which is bunched up around his wrists which show that it is slightly too big for the artist, he is also wearing black leather gloves which are cut off at the middle of his fingers and a gold watch this implies that he is wealthy and he can afford expensive clothing. This denotes that he has had a successful career within the rap industry.

Within this poster of Eazy-E's album you can see that his facial expression also gives the gangster effect as he does not look afraid, but due to him wearing sun glasses it could implies that he as a secret and that he doesn't want to be fully in the lime-light anymore and that he is hiding a part of his life, I believe that this looks effective because he had a secret behind the scenes of his glamorous lifestyle which he had created for himself as he was battling a sexuality transmitted disease up until his death in 1995 which could be the reason behind his sun glasses as he could be ashamed of this due to being a large hit in the United States to come out of having a sexuality transmitted disease.
Below you can see the analysis of the poster which I have created which states all the different features of the music poster of Eazy-E's album.

On this poster of Snoop Dogg - The Last Meal you can see that the artist - Snoop Dogg is the main focus point, I believe that this poster abides by the codes and conventions of a rap music video as he is the main focus within in the poster as he is the largest thing within the frame and he has his hand on a wheel of a car which implies that somewhere within his album their will be songs featuring references to 'fast' or 'good' cars, showing the car looks like the artist has a lot of money and is wealthy through his successful career as a rap artist within the music industry. This poster is also representing the opposite of my narrative post on Ed Sheeran as within this Snoop Dogg is the main focus point for the audience.

Within this poster of Snoop Dogg you can see that his facial expressions show that he is not afraid of anything and is giving a gangster vibe from his non-verbal communications which include eye contact which you can see that the artist is looking directly at the camera which shows that he is confident within himself and he knows who he is and what he is working for. Also within non-verbal communications it includes the body language of the individual which shows which he has a open body house as his arms are spaced out from each other which is opening up his torso which also shows that he is confident and has worked hard for what he has achieved.
Out of these two posters I believe the first one of Eazy-E's one shows more conventions of a rap music poster, this is because of the artist in the center of the poster which shows a clear artist to the audience. It also shows a background of which criminals stand in front of for their criminal 'mugshot' which is taken once they are arrested and charged for something in America. This makes the poster look more gangster to the audience. I would like to create something like this for our rap magazine cover as this meets the codes and conventions within the rap industry.
